1. What's this about a free intro class?

All classes at Mejishi Martial Arts offer a free intro so that you can come in and try out our kids karate, adult karate, or Filipino stick fighting class at no obligation. Call or text Sensei Jaye at 248-895-5787 to set up your appointment

Pre-Registration for Youth/Teen or Adult is Required. You have the option of filling out, downloading and emailing our forms ahead of time.
Please call ahead at 248-895-5787 or email us to join our waiting list.

Please use the Troy Street entrance and arrive 15 minutes beforehand. There is parking available at the DOT parking garage at 221 W Troy Street.

2. When and where are the classes?

All classes are at Mejishi Martial Arts.

4-6 Year Old Karate
Tuesdays 5:00 – 5:45 PM

7-11 Year Old Karate
Wednesdays 5:00 - 5:55 PM

Teens and Adults 11 Years Up Karate
Thursdays 6:00 – 6:55 PM

Arnis for 9 Years Up
Tuesdays 7:00 – 8:00 PM

Additionally, members will have access to Youtube video curriculum (90+ videos)

3. How much does it cost? And how long is the “session”?

You pay by the month or the quarter: $65/month or $180/quarter Family Rates are available.

4. What should a person wear and what should I bring to the free intro?

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes and bring a water bottle. Street shoes are not allowed on the dojo floor.

5. What about uniforms? Are they required and are they included in the dues?

Uniforms are not required to participate in class, but can be purchased at discounted prices at the dojo. A uniform is not included in the dues.
